THE Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has petitioned the Constitutional Court, challenging Acting Auditor General Dr Ron Mwambwa’s continued occupation of office despite being above the prescribed retirement age. LAZ is seeking an order requiring that all salaries, allowances and other emoluments drawn by Dr Mwambwa in his capacity as Auditor General be repaid to the state coffers and that he should vacate office. The association has also cited the Attorney General as the first respondent in the petition.
