THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted and sentenced a 35-year-old man to six months imprisonment with hard labour for stealing Jacobs coffee valued at K279.99 from Shoprite, along Cairo Road. Mark Vlahakis of Lusaka’s Makeni area pleaded guilty to stealing Jacobs coffee before Lusaka Magistrate Mwandu Sakala. Facts in this matter are that on March 13, Town Centre Police Post received a report of theft from Shoprite Supermarket on Cairo Road. The accused was apprehended after being found with coffee without paying for it and was taken to the police post.
