TWO Ministry of Health employees have appeared before the Lusaka Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing K414,270 cash. Friday Ndawa, an accountant, and Richard Chomba, a pharmacist, are facing one count of theft by Public Servant contrary to Section 272 and 277 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that Ndawa and Chomba, on unknown dates but between January 1, 2021, and December 30, 2021, in Lusaka, being persons employed in the public service, namely Ministry of Health as an accountant and a pharmacist, respectively, jointly and whilst acting together, did steal K414,270.00 cash which came into their possession by virtue of their employment, the property of the Government of the Republic...
