FORMER ZAMMSA Director General Victor Nyasulu and three others have pleaded not guilty to the offence of abuse of authority and wilful failure to follow procedure in the award of contracts for the procurement of drugs. Meanwhile, the defence has asked Lusaka Senior Resident Magistrate Andrew Peter Mungala to dismiss the charges, stating that the indictment is defective because it does not disclose the elements of the offence. In this matter, Nyasulu, Nalishebo Siyandi and Nchimunya Habadu, in counts one to five, stand charged with the offence of abuse of authority of office, contrary to Section 21(1)(a) as read with Section 41 of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012.
