THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced a 44-year-old Chinese businessman to 10 months’ imprisonment for assaulting a female police officer. In this matter, Zhao Bin was charged with one count of assault on a police officer contrary to Section 250(b) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. It was alleged that Zhao, on November 29, 2025, in Lusaka, assaulted Sergeant Chipo P. Matulula, service number 44167, an officer of the Zambia Police Service, in the due execution of her duty.
