THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has sentenced eight people for the theft of US$160,000 belonging to Chishimba Kambwili after the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt. Lusaka Chief Resident Magistrate Nthandose Chabala who found the accused persons guilty sentenced four of the accused to three years imprisonment with hard labour. In count two Magistrate Chabala sentenced the other four to two years six months imprisonment. In count three, she further sentenced one of the accused in count two to a further one-year imprisonment with hard labour.
