FORMER Chongwe UPND MP Sylvia Masebo has maintained her demand for the Chongwe East parliamentary election to be overturned, arguing that MP Anita Kamanga’s campaign violated the Electoral Process Act and the Electoral Code of Conduct. Earlier, the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) asked the Lusaka High Court to dismiss with costs Masebo’s petition challenging the Chongwe East parliamentary election. Meanwhile, Kamanga has denied distributing gifts or benefits for the purpose of inducing voters.
