THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has adjourned the matter involving police officer Emmanuel Tembo to October 12, 2026, for facts and possible sentencing. On Tuesday, Tembo pleaded guilty to the offence of failing to secure firearms or ammunition contrary to section 38(1)(3) of the firearms act. Meanwhile, Tembo pleaded not guilty to the offence of theft by public servant. In count one, Tembo is charged with the offence of theft by public servant, contrary to Sections 272 and 277 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
