THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has dismissed as false, malicious and misleading reports circulating on social media alleging that the association is working with an agent to inflate hotel bills for the Chipolopolo Boys’ training camp in Murcia, Spain. FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande described the allegations as baseless fabrications aimed at distracting the national team as it prepares for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco. It has been alleged that high-ranking FAZ secretariat officials travelled to Spain to finalise a corrupt deal involving inflated accommodation costs for the national team.
