FIFA has imposed a player registration ban on Nkana Football Club after the Kitwe giants failed to meet their financial obligations to Nigerian central defender Kelvin Emmanuel Ugah. Ugah joined Nkana in January this year on a two-year contract from Democratic Republic of Congo side Saint Éloi Lupopo, but his stay at Wusakile quickly turned sour due to unpaid dues. Last month, the Nigerian defender reported the club to FIFA over outstanding salaries, which included an unpaid signing-on fee. Following the complaint, FIFA ordered Nkana to pay Ugah significant amounts of USD $10,000 and ZMW 50,000, plus interest or face disciplinary action.
