THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has paid USD $520,000 which is equivalent to K10,122,994.38, towards its debt to former Chipolopolo head coach Aljosa Asanovic and has successfully restructured the remaining balance, with repayments set to run until 2028. FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande revealed the development in his report during the FAZ Executive Committee meeting held over the weekend at Football House. Shepande described the settlement process as long, complex and financially draining. He explained that the current FAZ administration inherited the matter in default following a 2023 FIFA ruling that ordered the association to pay the Croatian coach USD $1,252,526.10 about K24383297.45.
