ZAMBIA Under-15 boys’ team coach Everisto Mkandawire remains upbeat about the future of his young charges despite Zambia’s early exit from the CAF African Schools Football Championship in Zimbabwe. The young Chipolopolo ended their campaign with an impressive 2-0 victory over hosts Zimbabwe in the 5th to 8th place ranking play-off at Gateway High School. Mkandawire noted that although Zambia’s journey in the tournament was cut short at the group stage, the team showed flashes of promise throughout the competition and delivered spirited performances against some of the continent’s best young sides.
