A LUSAKA-based businessman has reported selected FAZ officials for allegedly assaulting him when he visited Football House to collect money owed to him for supplying the Under 17’s team with suits for their Africa Cup participation. Syrus Kalumba, one of FAZ’s contracted suppliers, claims that the association credited pieces of suits from him. The businessman alleges that FAZ officials physically assaulted him during a heated confrontation over outstanding payments totalling about K64,000. Kalumba explained that the debt dated back to March, last year when he supplied suits for the men’s Under 20 and Under 17 teams for the Africa Cup. He claims that despite initial promises of payment within two weeks, the association failed to settle the debt until October....
