COPPER Queens captain and Orlando Pride forward, Barbra Banda has signed a new contract with the club, extending her stay to 2029. The move reaffirms her status as one of the most valuable players in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Banda joined the Orlando Pride from Shanghai Shengli FC for $740,000 in March 2024 in one of the largest investments in NWSL history and has since delivered on every expectation. Her impact was immediate, scoring her first goal on April 26, 2024, before helping Orlando clinch the NWSL Shield and Championship double in her debut season.
