PRESIDENT General of the Southern Africa Students and Youth Development Association, Abrahim Mwamba, has advised men to control what is in their trousers, and not just focus on drinking coffee or using Viagra, as rape and defilement are now non-bailable offences. Mwamba, also claims that many women are sexually assaulted by their bosses at work, but fear reporting the abuse due to concerns about losing their jobs. His comment follows the enactment of the Criminal Procedure Code of Code (Amendment) Act No. 4 of 2026, which makes sexual offences such as rape, defilement and incest non-bailable.
