A WOMAN of Meanwood has told the court how her marriage was marred by her husband’s repeated extramarital affairs, revealing that he once became a “widower” without her knowledge after secretly marrying another woman who later died. In his defence, 56-year-old Andrew Phiri said he had multiple girlfriends because his wife would sleep in jeans and face the opposite direction whenever he wanted intimacy. This came to light after his wife, Elizabeth Tembo, told the court about her husband’s affairs and the women he was involved with, including an incident in which his girlfriends came to fight over him at their marital home.
