THE Ministry of Green Economy and Environment has announced the closure of various project sites in Serenje and Mkushi districts for abrogating provisions of the Environmental Management Act. Green Economy and Environment Minister Collins Nzovu has disclosed that decision letters of Chimetal (Z) Limited; Champions Minerals Limited; Serenje Ferro Alloys Limited, among others, have been suspended, whereas Goodrock Zambia Limited; Lijing Industry Company Limited and four other companies in Mkushi have been ordered to cease the mining and processing of manganese.
