PF lawyer Tutwa Ngulube has charged that police are lying that no one claimed the vehicles which were forfeited to the State, saying the former ruling party actually wrote several letters to challenge the seizure. The Joint Investigations Team (JIT) recently forfeited 24 motor vehicles to the State after seizing them from various companies and individuals, some of whom are friends of former president Edgar Lungu. According to the JIT, the owners of the vehicles which are valued at K21,869,419 in total, failed to claim them within a stipulated three months period.
