ZPPA has denied granting a ‘No objection’ in the Honey Bee Pharmacy drug supply tender, arguing that it wasn’t required to do so because the procurement method used was Limited Bidding. The Authority was reacting to a News Diggers editorial published last week stating that “…The Zambia Public Procurement Authority opposed the Ministry of Health’s decision to select Honeybee Pharmacy as a bidder because it did not have the requisite qualifications to even take part in the bidding, but the company was awarded the US$17 million tender.
