GOVERNMENT has disclosed that it has engaged the Russian authorities to ascertain how a 23-year-old Zambian student who was serving a 9-year prison sentence in that country died while fighting in Ukraine, two months ago. During a media briefing, Monday, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Stanley Kakubo said Lemekhani Nyirenda, who was pursuing nuclear engineering at the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute in Russia on government sponsorship, was reported to have died on September 22, 2022 in Ukraine.
