ALBINISM Foundation Technical Advisor John Chiti has commended the police for thwarting a ploy to sell a 17-year-old albino but urges the officers to uncover the purported buyers. Police in Mongu recently arrested 12 suspects who attempted to sell a 17-year-old male albino student of Sefula Combined School for the Blind. In a statement, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale revealed that according to investigations, a plot to traffic the 17-year-old started in October 2022 and a picture of the victim was sent to the purported buyers in Lusaka.
