HUMAN Rights Commissioner Laura Miti has made a personal declaration of assets to the public as a way of setting an example of what public officials must do upon assuming office. Miti’s declarations include her assets, earnings and liabilities. The declared assets include; a 6 acre plot in Chilanga with an unfinished house and two yet to be electrified two bedroom flats, whose current value is uncertain but initially bought at K12 million, before rebasement. Other assets include a house in Mtendere with two flats on the same plot; value: “not sure (initially bought at K100,000 million before rebasing)”.
