MEDICAL for Quality Healthcare Zambia Director General Dr Quincy Mwabu says the Ministry of Health needs to sit and come up with a plan on how they are going to suppress the shortage of essential drugs in hospitals. In an interview, Dr Mwabu said most patients were just leaving hospitals with prescriptions, adding that “it’s like most health facilities especially rural areas are just consultation centres”. “There’s not yet any improvement.
