GOVERNMENT has ordered a non profit organisation, Zambia Civil Liberties Union (ZCLU), to take down a billboard which it had erected at Nature Resources Development College (NRDC) along Great East Road because there was no consultation regarding the same. The billboard was pulled down by the Lusaka City Council on Saturday, on instruction from Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security permanent secretary Dickson Matembo. On the billboard, ZCLU was expressing gratitude to President Hakainde Hichilema for his role in the approval of the first-ever national refugee policy, and portraying Zambia as a refugee-friendly nation.
