THE Committee on Parastatal Bodies has heard that Infratel Corporation Limited irregularly paid K681,263 to professional bodies for 58 officers, when it was not in their conditions of service. In the latest Auditor General’s report, amounts totaling K681,263 were paid to various professional bodies in respect of 58 officers as annual subscription fees. However, it was observed that there were no provisions in the conditions of service to support such payments, rendering them irregular.
