A KITWE based Chinese investor Zhang Lianan of Lianan Mining Ltd has sued former Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Stanley Kakubo demanding a refund of over US$800,000 and damages for fraudulent misrepresentation after a foiled mine transaction. Lianan has cited Kakubo and a company, Hounslow Investments Zambia Limited, as defendants. He wants the Lusaka High Court to order for the recession of the partnership and joint venture agreement dated May 1, 2022, relating to Small Scale Exploration Licence No.25569 entered between him, his mining company and the defendants.
