CHIEF government spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says the prolonged dry spell currently affecting Zambia will soon translate into the shortage of mealie meal which is likely to drive up the price of the commodity and in turn increase the cost of living. And Mweetwa says the reduced water levels in major hydro dams will result in reduced power generation, leading to load shedding in the coming months.
