THE Zambia Police Service says it is aware of a viral video showing an intoxicated police officer in a drainage and has since initiated disciplinary proceedings against him. A video is circulating on social media showing a police officer in an intoxicated state lying in a drainage and struggling to get up while holding onto his AK47. He is only assisted out of the drainage by a good samaritan who partially lifts him. Commenting on the viral video in a statement, Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga confirmed that the officer involved had been swiftly identified.
