AT least 18 people sustained injuries on Friday following a mine blast at a Chinese owned Gold Tiger Quarry Limited in Chilanga, according to area MP Sipho Hlazo. And Hlazo says the mining activity has damaged the water table and underground streams in the area. Meanwhile, Gold Tiger Quarry Limited Operation Manager, Ruanbin, says only six or seven people have reported injuries after the mine blast and they do not know whether 18 people were really injured.
