THE latest Auditor General’s Report has revealed that the Ministry of Transport and Logistics made a 50 percent advance payment of K2,437,280 to Kalideck Pty Limited of South Africa for the supply of one Computer-to-Plate Machine, before the contract signing date of February 21, 2025. The report has further revealed that there was no evidence to confirm that the Ministry obtained relevant authority before entering into an international procurement agreement. The report indicated that on December 4, 2024, the Ministry’s Procurement Committee, using direct bidding, awarded a contract to Kalideck Pty Limited for the supply, delivery and installation of one Computer-to-Plate Machine (CTP) for the Government Printing Department.
