FORMER Agriculture minister Greyford Monde says he will sue government for obtaining maize by false pretences if it fails to pay farmers by today. Recently, the Zambia National Farmers Union also lamented that the Food Reserve Agency’s delay in paying farmers would compromise the country’s food security. In an interview, Monday, Monde argued that by failing to pay the farmers, government had breached a contract. “We want to say to this government that on Tuesday, if they don’t pay the farmers on Monday, we’ll have no option but to take you to court.
