MINES and Minerals Development Minister Paul Kabuswe says government will on December 1, 2025, deploy soldiers to curb illegal mining activities across the country. Kabuswe has disclosed that over 266 cooperatives have been trained in the National Training Programme for Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) Sector Cooperatives. Meanwhile, Kabuswe, who is Chililabombwe MP says illegal miners remain poor despite taking part in the illegality.
