MINISTER of Education Douglas Syakalima has disclosed that 384,592 candidates passed the 2025 Grade 7 examination out of 538,824, representing a 71.36 percent progression rate. Syakalima also disclosed that 206,352 candidates obtained certificates in the 2025 grade 9 examination out of 285,634, representing an increase of 16.36 percent. Speaking during the official release of the 2025 examination result on Tuesday, Syakalima said 587,471 candidates registered for the 2025 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) but 538, 824 sat for the exams.
