THE 2024 Auditor General’s report on parastatal bodies has revealed that the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) procured an office building for K25,410,000 without approval from the Attorney General. According to the audit, the move was contrary to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020. Meanwhile, the report reveals that the Commission agreed to an out-of-court settlement with three erring companies amounting to K10,200,000 in January 2024, but only K800,000 had been paid as of the end of November 2025.
