CONSTRUCTION works for the CDF-funded maternity annex at Magwero Rural Health Centre in Chipata Central’s Dilika Ward have been completed. Once opened, expectant mothers will have a respectable environment in which to deliver their bundles of joy. Thanks to the enhanced Constituency Development Fund (CDF), women will no longer have to share a ward with other patients during delivery. The maternity annex was constructed at a total cost of K1,000,035 by Lustrous General Dealers and Suppliers, a local contractor, using the 2024 CDF budget. The facility is expected to be commissioned soon.
