THE Zambezi River Authority’s Council of Ministers (COM) says there is need to expedite the implementation of the Zambia-Tanzania interconnection project, which is expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2028. The Council says the rehabilitation of the Kariba Dam is progressing well, with an early warning system to protect downstream communities expected to be completed by December 2026.
