IN a move to resolve long-standing delays at the Kabwe Central Hospital, the Kabwe Municipal Council has announced that a new contractor will be engaged to complete the construction of the Mother’s and Relatives’ Shelter. The project, funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), hit a standstill after the previous contractor, Fungala Investment Limited, failed to complete the facility within the stipulated period. Speaking in an interview, Kabwe Municipal Council Public Relations Officer Sonia Mukwatu confirmed that the local authority had terminated the initial agreement following persistent delays.
