THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the Provisional Register of Voters consists of 8,861,918 voters, whose details are currently being cleaned and validated. ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says this figure consists of the 7,073,513 voters on the certified Register of Voters and the 1,788,405 new voters registered during the Mass Registration of Voters exercise. He says at no point does the Commission hide figures or intend to manipulate voter data.
