KALINGALINGA Ward 36 area councillor Mukubesa Nyoni says the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has delivered visible development across the area since 2021, but poor loan repayment and delayed construction projects are emerging as major setbacks. Speaking during an inspection of a medical storage facility under construction at Kalingalinga Clinic, Nyoni said CDF support in the ward had been deliberately balanced between public infrastructure projects and individual empowerment. “Since we came in office in 2021, we’ve done projects around the wards and also given out loans, grants, and we’ve sent boarding schools, secondary applicants and those for skills, so as you can see, CDF does not only help the public in general, but it also helps people at the individual level,”...
