POLICE in Muchinga Province have recorded an incident in which 10 male suspects escaped from lawful custody at Nakonde Police Station after officers opened the cell to distribute food. In a statement, Sunday, Muchinga Province Commanding Officer Dennis Moola confirmed that the incident occurred on Saturday around 14:30 hours. He explained that in an effort to stop the escape, police opened fire on three suspects, who were subsequently pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
