THE National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia (NUPPEZ) has lauded government’s intention to legislate free education, stating that doing so will compel governments to invest heavily in education. The Union adds that the idea of legislating free education signals the love that President Hakainde Hichilema has for the vulnerable. On Friday, President Hichilema announced that government would turn the free education policy into law during the next session of Parliament to make it irreversible.
