I HAVE managed to buy a canter and educate my children through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), says Mbala-based businessman Davies Musukuma, as he praises President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership. From 2022 to date, Mbala Municipal Council has disbursed CDF loans totalling K12,609,425. The local authority also distributed CDF grants worth K2.2 million in 2024 and K2,491,290.40 in 2025. These loans and grants have significantly changed the lives and businesses of community members in Mbala District. Another CDF loan beneficiary, Davies Simuchindo, who owns Mwelele Agro Dealers, received a CDF empowerment loan totalling K150,000 in 2023.
