HEALTH Minister Dr Elijah Muchima has disclosed that the country recorded 20 new cholera cases across four districts in the last 24 hours, with no deaths. Meanwhile, Dr Muchima says from January 2025 to date, Zambia has recorded 2,549 suspected measles cases. He says the country has since 2024 also recorded 2,261 suspected and 399 laboratory-confirmed Mpox cases, with three deaths. Speaking during a press briefing, Monday, Dr Muchima said as of February 3, 2026, the country had recorded a cumulative total of 861 cholera cases and 16 deaths.
