DALITSO Lungu’s lawyer, Charles Changano, says his client will appeal the High Court’s ruling, which ordered the forfeiture of over 70 vehicles and 21 properties he owned. Changano says the State failed to prove that Dalitso committed a crime, arguing that his client explained that the source of the properties was his father, former president Edgar Lungu. On Monday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, High Court Division, ruled that the vehicles and properties were tainted and proceeds of crime. Justices Anne Malata-Ononuju, Pixie Yangailo and Ian Mabbolobbolo forfeited the vehicles and properties worth over K23 million, which included, among other things, a filling station, to the state.
