THE Ministry of Education has guided that although late coming is an offence, schools should use corrective measures that encourage reflection and learning instead of sending learners home. Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Dr Kelvin Mambwe has stressed that disciplinary measures should never interfere with learning time. In a statement, Monday, Dr Mambwe added that sending learners home for any offence committed denied them the opportunity to learn. “The Ministry of Education is committed to ensuring equitable, inclusive and quality lifelong education that meets individual, national and global needs.
