THE Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Serenje has arrested two police officers for allegedly soliciting K9,000 in cash from a Lusaka resident, in a bribery case dating back to November 2022. In a statement, Friday, ACC Corporate Communications Acting Head Chilufya Chisanga disclosed that Chief Inspector Fredian Mabuku and Sergeant Brenda Tampwila allegedly solicited and received the cash as a bribe to discontinue a dangerous driving case against a relative of the Lusaka resident. “The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in Serenje has arrested and jointly charged Chief Inspector Fredian Mabuku and Sergeant Brenda Tampwila, both officers in the Zambia Police Service, for corruption involving K9,000.00.
