POLICE have reunited the male infant recently stolen from Kafue General Hospital’s Neonatal Unit with his family after he was recovered by a member of the public. On Sunday, Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi confirmed that Kafue Police Station received a report on February 21, 2026, around 11:00 hours from the child’s mother, who said her infant had gone missing while under observation. Three days after the incident, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Chipo Kaitisha has announced that Phides Phiri of Shikoswe township discovered an abandoned male infant covered with small grass around 05:40 hours and reported it to the authorities.
