POLICE in Itezhi-Tezhi have detained a 39-year-old woman after she admitted to stabbing her brother with a kitchen knife after he assaulted her while intoxicated. The victim, identified as Chinga Palata, 35, had earlier misled the police, claiming that he had been stabbed by unknown males so as to shield his sister from the law. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo confirmed the incident, stating that police discovered that Palata was stabbed by his sister and not by a male person after two days.
