POLICE in Monze have detained a 33-year-old man for allegedly being an accomplice in the murder of his 67-year-old father, who was found axed to death. Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo said the deceased’s wife became suspicious after her husband, Charles Choobe, did not return home on February 28, and after she observed her son allegedly picking up a piece of wood from her house. “The Zambia Police Service in Monze District is investigating a case of murder reported at Chikuni Police Station on March 1 at 09:00 hours.
