THE Lusaka City Council (LCC) has empowered 120 cooperatives in Kabwata Constituency with grants totalling over K2.7 million, under the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF). In a statement, the local authority said the initiative is aimed at helping cooperatives start and expand their businesses, create employment opportunities and contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the constituency. The Council further said it conducted financial literacy training to equip beneficiaries with essential knowledge on business, financial management and accountability.
